Usage: Any balance must be zeroed first (some scales may vary depending on the level). Then it can be weighed. The weight must be returned to its original position after use. Power must be cut off when there is power.
Notes: (1) In the measurement of the same sample, the same balance and set of weights must be used for measurement;
(2) During several weighing processes of the same sample, zero adjustment should not be made multiple times.
(3) The mass of the object shall not exceed half of the maximum load capacity of the balance.
(4) Do not weigh objects that are too cold or too hot on a balance.
(5) The object being weighed must not come into direct contact with the weighing plate. Substances with deliquescence and volatility must be stored in covered containers, while corrosive substances should be stored in sealed containers.
(6) When weighing, the object to be weighed should be placed on the left pan and the weight on the right pan, both of which should be placed in the center of the weighing pan.
(7) When rotating the brake knob, the balance beam should be slowly and evenly adjusted to start or brake smoothly. If the pointer is still swinging, the brake should be applied when the pointer is close to the center zero point.
(8) When adding or removing items from the balance, and then adding or subtracting weights or opening and closing the balance glass door, the balance must be braked first.
(9) After adding items or adding or subtracting weights, all doors must be completely closed before starting the balance to read.
(10) When adding weights to the plate, they should be placed in a certain order.
(11) Use tweezers to grip weights and do not use hands to lift them.
(12) Each balance has fixed weights, and the entire set of weights cannot be disassembled and used for another balance.
(13) Protect the balance from direct sunlight and cover it with a dust cover in a timely manner after use.
(14) The inside of the balance should be kept clean, and a soft bristled brush or silk cloth should be used to wipe off dust or scattered samples. If there are dirt stains on the parts, they can be wiped clean with a silk cloth dipped in anhydrous alcohol.
(15) Silicone should be placed inside the balance and replaced regularly for drying treatment.
