Coal calorimeter is an important analytical instrument in the coal industry laboratory, but issues such as oxygen bomb leakage can affect its accuracy.

The coal calorimeter provides key data for coal quality evaluation by accurately measuring the calorific value of coal. However, during use, problems such as damage and aging of the oxygen bomb sealing ring may cause oxygen bomb leakage, thereby affecting the measurement accuracy of the calorimeter. Once the accuracy of the calorimeter is compromised, it may not only mislead the evaluation of coal quality, but also affect the optimization of the combustion process and resource reuse. Therefore, when problems such as gas leakage are found in the calorimeter, it is necessary to replace the oxygen bomb sealing ring of the calorimeter. The oxygen bomb sealing ring must be replaced in a timely manner to ensure its accuracy and reliability.

How do we check if the oxygen bomb is leaking?

Charge the oxygen bomb with oxygen and then put it into water. Bubbles appear in the oxygen bomb water, indicating that it is leaking air. If it leaks, the sealing ring needs to be replaced,

Oxygen bomb leakage can affect the detection results of the coal calorific value meter (calorimeter), so it is necessary to replace the oxygen bomb sealing ring.

(1) Leakage at the oxygen filling port of the calorimeter: Place two wrenches at the lower end of the oxygen filling port and the six sides of the cylinder cutting section, remove the oxidation warhead, remove the check valve, clean the dirt, replace the small sealing ring with a size of 6 * 1.9, and reinstall it.

(2) Automatic calorimeter oxygen bomb O-ring (60 * 5.7) leaking: Remove the oxygen bomb cover, remove the O-ring and conical ring, remove dirt, and replace with a 60 * 5.7 O-ring (without deformation, aging, and cannot be replaced). The oxygen bomb cover must be tightened when oxygen is in use.

(3) The oxygen bomb of the heat meter should be installed in a white insulation sleeve. Remove the oxygen warhead, take out two white insulation sleeves, and remove dirt (if there are cracks, they need to be replaced with new ones). The oxygen bomb of the heat meter should be installed properly.

(4) There is air leakage between the oxygen shell cover and the receiver of the heat meter. After cleaning the dirt, tighten it. If the air still leaks, that is, if the usage time is too long, the thread wear is too sharp, and the oxygen bomb cover needs to be scrapped and replaced with a new one.

The oxygen bomb is equipped with three sealing rings, a large sealing ring, a medium sealing ring, and a small sealing ring.
