Calorific value refers to the heat generated by a unit weight of coal during complete combustion, also known as calorific value, commonly used at 106J/kg. It is an important indicator for evaluating gasification and power coal, and is the main pricing basis for power coal trading. Calorific value (Q) is a measure of the amount of heat released during fuel combustion, usually represented by the symbol Q, in million joules per kilogram (MJ/kg) or kilocalories per kilogram (kcal/kg). The higher the ash content, the lower the calorific value, and the higher the moisture content, the lower the calorific value. The higher the calorific value of coal, the higher its economic value
