Discussion on the accuracy of calorimeters in coal quality instruments
Precision means that the coal quality instrument calorimeter has good parallelism, but it does not mean that the coal quality laboratory instrument calorimeter has good accuracy and reproducibility. On the other hand, if the coal quality laboratory instrument calorimeter has good accuracy, it can ensure high precision and good reproducibility.
Environmental temperature and coal quality analysis instruments Calorimeter
Coal quality analysis instrument calorimeter, in terms of structure, usually consists of two layers of inner and outer barrels, with the outer barrel representing the environment.
When the ambient temperature stabilizes at a certain point and the temperature of the outer barrel is fully consistent with the ambient temperature, the thermal capacity of the calorimeter measurement system is determined, and good reproducibility and accuracy test results can be obtained.
But in most cases, it is unrealistic to ensure long-term stability of the ambient temperature. The rise or fall of ambient temperature causes the outer barrel to absorb or release heat. Due to the different endothermic and exothermic properties, and the uncertainty of the intensity of each test, the process is lengthy. During this process, even if the temperature reading of the outer barrel is the same, the thermal capacity of the instrument may vary greatly, leading to a decrease in the accuracy of the test results and a decrease in reproducibility.
If the temperature of the outer barrel is affected by the number of tests, the uncertainty of its thermal capacity increases compared to instruments where the temperature of the outer barrel is not affected by the number of tests.
How to obtain high accuracy test results with coal quality testing instruments and calorimeters
With the continuous improvement of market economy, the accuracy of heat generation test results, which serve as the main basis for settlement, has become the main focus of attention for both supply and demand sides; At the same time, the units using coal quality testing instruments such as calorimeters are also facing more and more password sample exams and spot checks, and the pressure from various aspects is increasing. An effective way to alleviate this pressure is to improve the accuracy of test results.
As for the existing coal quality detection instruments, assuming that the instruments are qualified and operated correctly, as long as the following precautions are taken before formal testing, high accuracy test results can be obtained.
Firstly, keep the ambient temperature stable and wait for a sufficient amount of time to ensure that the outer barrel temperature is fully consistent with the ambient temperature;
Secondly, check whether the temperature corresponding to the instrument's thermal capacity is consistent with the current temperature. If it is not consistent, recalibrate the thermal capacity;
Thirdly, for instruments whose external barrel temperature is affected by the number of tests, standard substance tests or heat capacity tests should be performed during the heat generation test; If it is found that the heat capacity has changed, the heat capacity should be immediately recalibrated.
